So here you have found the first ramblings of TheOneJake.  I have to wonder, will the first post be the one I always remember? Will it hurt? Will it leave you unsatisfied or at least a little curious about if it can get better on the next one? Only one way to find out, and that’s to get it over with now.

For those that don’t know, construction has consumed my entire life, I’ve had the pleasure of spending many hours on jobsites both remote and local.  No matter where I’ve gone to work, no matter what site I’ve visited, there has always been one common string among all the hundreds of sites.  They all have washrooms.

I know, you are overwhelmed with surprise.  However, these are never your ordinary run of the mill washrooms.  Not even your 10,000 visitor a day airport mall washrooms.  The washrooms placed on jobsites for the common folk to use are anywhere from a blue plastic portable “potty” to a rolled in placed trailer with sinks filled with undrinkable water and mirrors that constantly looked fogged up.  That being said – there is also one common thread among all these special construction throne abodes – the art.  Yes, the art.  Everything from the common doodle of a middle finger to the elegant soliloquy explaining the thoughts of the intelligent while they do the two.

With that in mind, how is this “blogging” any different.  I agree, the medium is more technological and perhaps easier to clean off.  However, these are still words written on a wall for those that stumble in to read.  It also wouldn’t be mind blowing if the reader in both scenarios are taking part in the same daily acts while ingesting ramblings of anything on a bathroom wall and or scrolling the pages of TheOneJake’s Ramblings Blog.

So, to conclude the first Ramblings Post – I will leave you with a classic – found on metal neutral painted toilet dividers across this great continent and perhaps over all over the world.
