SIT #309-2026 Mar 01 – Chitta Chitta Battery

A sleepy Sunday with sunshine.  Today the DC was all about the Sanskrit word Chitta.  This practice talks about not just the mind but the heart and how both are what drive our reactions and actions.  Chitta is the idea that mind and heart are one.  They do not work independently, they work as one.  This practice works you in to the flow and then focuses on the heart and the linking it to the mind.  You will feel very centered after this practice.  The DT today was about your body battery.  This explores how you mind is constantly predicting how much energy you need to have to expend on whatever it is you are doing.  The issue being that the world around us typically takes more energy than we have predicted.  This practice looks at ways to increase what is on our battery and makes sure we have the reserves in place to take on anything.  Self-care is a way to recharge the battery, and so is meditation.  This meditation works are specifically increasing that batter power.  I liked this sit.  The DJ today was about looking at your attitude and how it can skew your outcomes.  This sit takes the time to help you realize how much impact your attitude has one all the outcomes in your life.  With a negative attitude you generally have a negative outcome with things.  This sit allows you to look at your attitude and helps you improve it.  I also did a 30 minute sit with Chibs Okereke which included body scans, mental scans, and real work on centering yourself in to the flow and giving your brain a complete break.  I felt wonderful after I completed this one.
