SIT #321-2026 Mar 13 – Sleep Curious Strength

Starting to feel better and been having decent sleeps. The DC today was a celebration of national sleep day and using practice to be aware of the goodness of sleep. Being grateful for the sleep we get and some techniques to help you get to sleep. The stress of not being able to fall asleep typically results in not being able to fall asleep. This practice uses techniques to reduce that stress. It allows you to label the stresses that are impeding your sleep and as a result calming the mind and body in to a position where sleep can come naturally. Today the DT was about being curious. It was a wild practice that explores being aware of your own awareness. Exploring the part of you that awareness comes from and sits and then being aware of that; as if a eyeball could look back and see itself. This was a trip and I saved this sit to do it again. The DJ today was about the strength within all humans. This used stories from a Holocaust survivor and how within humans there are a few things that can never be taken away from us. Hope and Spirit. Those will always be there, along with awareness and mindfulness. Taping in to those things during tough times is a true game changer, however, tapping in to them when not in tough times grows that strength far beyond expectations. This practice looks at examples of these while getting centered in the hear and now.
