SIT #300-2026 Feb 20 – Integrate and Never Stop Being Bigger

Habits are hard to form but easy to keep once you have them. Today the DC was Integration and using practice to do exactly that – practice. But then using the skills you learn in practice to your life off the mat. For instance if you are stuck in traffic and you feel the frustration monster bubbling up inside, but you think of your practice. Practice teaches you to step back and accept the frustration which takes away it’s power to impact and your need to react without thought. The DT today was about being bigger than your urges. This practice helps you observe urges from a safe distance without the need to let it impact you and cause a reaction without thought. These two practices seem to have a fine thread of commonality. The DJ today was about keep trying and how if something drives you from the inside and motivates you to do, then you should never give up on getting it. This practice helps strengthen your awareness with your own motivation and wants. The practice helps you put yourself in the position where you can keep reaching for those things that you may for a moment be reluctant to, even though your heart, gut, and head want to. All these were good sits and I was present for them.
