SIT #312-2026 Mar 04 – Unfixate you Flow and Support

Another office day trucking away. Today the DC was about heart. This practice strengthened you ability to get in to the flow and not only calm the mind but tune in to the heart and quiet any noise you feel there. I always like practices that center around being centered. Although my mind was distracted this morning, I did build my equanimity and feel the heart. The DT today was about unfixating. Although that isn’t a word, it’s still an act and in this practice you can do it. This practice speaks to how humans fixate on outcomes that have yet to come to fruition. For example, you talk about driving to someone’s house and you are trying to figure out a time. You then become fixated on how bad traffic is going to be and how it’s going to hold you up. The focus is on the journey and not the point of visiting a friend. This practice helps you highlight those things you are fixated on and gives you the space to let the fixation part go if you so find fit to do so. The DJ was all about being a support system for those that need it and how being there fore someone doesn’t mean interjecting your own paradigm in to their situation. It means being there, accepting their needs and issues as is. Practice gives you room to be that support and listen and accept it.
